King Talk: Remembering on this Memorial Day weekend Jill Wilkins and the other family members who have lost loved ones due to cancer from burn pit exposure in Afghanistan and Iraq. KBR and Halliburton operated open air burn pits where everything from body parts, ammo, tens of thousands of plastic bottles. vehicles, clothing was burned in the open air day and night lit by jet fuel. So many servicemen and women have returned sick and died from this toxic exposure not to mention the harm to Iraqi and Afghan civilians. As usual the military has fought to disavow responsibility or that the problem even exists. Jill's husband Kevin was an Airforce nurse assigned to Balad, Iraq.
