King Talk: July 4, 2014 Brother and Sister Love Samiya and Maurice Singleton came out on their block today to rep their country of birth. They were handsomely dressed in the colours of the American flag, even though the clouds threatened to unload its puffs of darkness. Samantha, their mom who has both Jamaican and Trinidadian heritage, said that she has never been interested in the Fourth of July celebrations before. "We usually wear the other flags especially around Labour Day. But as my kids get older I want them to identify with their country, so today is our first day wearing their American flag."
