Two girls adjust their souvenir cowboy hats after having their photo taken by a grandparent behind a board depicting a Native American scene at Wall Drug in Wall, South Dakota. Wall Drug is a roadside tourist attraction that brings in some two million visitors a year and an estimated 10 million dollars in revenue. It was built in an otherwise-remote town on the edge of the Badlands and Pine Ridge Indian Reservation where the Wounded Knee massacre of the Lakota took place in 1890. Today, Pine Ridge is one of the largest and most impoverished Native American reservation in the USA with unemployment rates as high as 85%. Photo by @dguttenfelder #IdentityUSA by everydayusa
