Today I passed by a large strip mine encroaching on a home. It reminds me of the tragic death of a 3 year old boy in the neighboring town of Appalachia, Virginia in 2004. A 1000 pound rock became dislodged and crushed the child while sleeping in his bed. Photograph by @stacykranitz #coal by everydayusa
