King Talk: I encountered a group of protesters on the Tamiami Trail in the Everglades. They are walking 76 miles to protest the proposed River of Grass Greenway. The protesters are concerned the road will destroy wetlands, disrupt watersheds, fragment habitats encroach on indigenous land, desecrate burial grounds, disturb historic battlefields and commercialize the Everglades.
